The Normal Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of a crime data map to our web site. The map was a collaborative effort between the Town of Normal’s Police and Information Technologies departments. The map allows users to search by small areas or sub-beats to obtain specific information on reported crimes. Individuals can obtain information on crimes for the entire town, specific sub-beats or by month or year. The crime data map has information on reported crimes from 2004 to present. The map allows you to compare individual sub-beats or crimes by clicking the “apply filter” button located below the map. The map shows specific types of crimes like Battery, Sexual Assault, Residential and Vehicle Burglary, Robbery and Theft.

The crime data map is updated monthly and is meant to provide information on crime trends in the community. The map only shows reported crime and doesn’t provide any information on arrests or convictions. You can access the Normal Police Departments website at www.npd.org. The crime data map can be located by clicking on the link titled “Crime Data”, located on the left side of the department’s main page.
