Domestic Violence Unit
The DV Unit conducts follow-up investigations on reported domestic
violence cases. Grant funds provided by the Illinois Criminal Justice
Information Authority are used to provide training for patrol officers
and purchase equipment for the DV unit office. A full-time DV investigator
is assigned to the Unit and works with local social service agencies
to provide services to victims of domestic violence.
