Crime Free Multi Housing Program
The Police Department started the Crime Free Multi Housing program in 2004. This partnership between the Department and area landlords/tenants has created a safer and more enjoyable living environment for many of our citizens. The program assists landlords in attracting quality tenants while maintaining well-managed rental properties.
In cooperation with representatives of the McLean County Apartment Association the officers are responsible for training area landlords, property managers and owners on such topics as: attracting quality tenants, background checks and keeping their property drug and crime free.
